Pura Vida Adventures has released dates for upcoming canyoneering classes in the Asheville North Carolina.
The spring classes will be held in Brevard, North Carolina. Brevard known as the Land of Waterfalls for its over 250 waterfalls is quickly becoming the epicenter of canyoneering in the Asheville North Carolina area. Brevard is the home of Pura Vida Adventures. Pura Vida Adventures was established in 2006. Pura Vida quickly grabbed notoriety from such publications as National Geographic, Blue Ridge Outdoors, and Our State Magazine when they became the first guide company to offer canyoneering in the Asheville North Carolina area. In addition Pura Vida was the first guide service to offer canyoneering east of the Mississippi River.
Pura Vida Adventures also became the first and currently the only canyoneering guide service in the Asheville, North Carolina area to become accredited by the American Canyoneering Association . Pura Vida Adventures owner and head guide Joe Moerschbaecher also received his Pro Canyon Guide certification at the A/B/C levels in 2011 .
For over 19 years Pura Vida Adventures has been the leader in canyoneering in Asheville, North Carolina. Below is a list of course dates for the Spring of 2026. If these dates do not work with your schedule we also offer private classes and can run classes for groups of 2 or more people. If you are more interested in experiencing a guided canyoneering trip in the Asheville area Pura Vida offers over a half dozen guided canyoneering trips. From wet to dry canyons from beginner to advanced we offer canyoneering trips for many ability levels daily throughout the entire year.

5 day Canyon Course Combine a 3day Technical Canyon course with a 2 day advanced canyon course for a 5 day guide training course
