Ditch the Ziplining Brevard and Asheville for Waterfall Rappelling

Ziplining

Over the Last 15 years ziplining Brevard and Asheville has become a popular outdoor activity.  This activity herds the customers through an aerial park of cables, platforms, and trees.  The speed of the participant zipping through the trees creates quite an adrenaline high for the participant who is simply pitch and caught by their chaperones as they buzz through the trees.  Physical capabilities required of participants are limited.  New skills learned through this activity  are very minimum.   These reason cause some to leave their ziplining experience unfulfilled.

Rock Climbing and Waterfall Rappelling

This summer try waterfall rappelling or rock climbing with Pura Vida Adventures. Unlike ziplining Brevard and Asheville waterfall rappelling takes place in the Pisgah National Forest.  The trips include rappelling, rock climbing, and hiking in our national forest. Experiencing the rock formations and waterfall that make up our public lands first hand.  Instead of being herded through the trees you are part of a team learning how to rappel or rock climb. In addition you will learn about the areas history, flora, and fauna during your hike.

We have programs for beginners to advanced. PV adventures offers rock climbing for kids as young as 5 and waterfall rappelling for kids as young as 8. For those on the more extreme side of things we offer canyoneering, waterfall rappelling, and rock climbing classes for those looking to learn the technical skills necessary to pursue the sport on a more personal level.

Our canyoneering and waterfall rappelling classes are extremely popular as we are the only canyoneering school in the eastern United States which is accredited by the American Canyoneering Association.

Pura Vida Adventures was established in 2006 in Brevard North Carolina.  We introduce thousands of people to the sports of rock climbing and rappelling each year.  As you make plans for your next mountain adventure think about trading the herds and abrasive cables of ziplining for the natural scenery and smooth feel of the rope as you climb a rock or rappel a waterfall.
