North Carolina Adventure Backpacking

3 days, 2 nights

The Experience

This trip is also offered in a slack packing options (for an additional $200 a person) along the Art Loeb trail. Hike with your guide during the day carrying a light day pack; camp at night in luxury where our support vehicle will meet you with meals, tents, sleeping bags and other supplies to provide you a comfortable night’s sleep.

Up to four people——– $2,000 for the group, of up to four people
Other prices will vary based upon group numbers, length, and season.

All food and gear supplied. Instruction in back country skills such as cooking, campsite selection and setup, packing a pack, and navigation.

The Experience

Hike with your guide during the day carrying a light day pack camp at night in luxury where are support vehicle will meet you with meals, tents, sleeping bags and other supplies to provide you a comfortable night’s sleep.

Up to four people——– $1,500 for the group, of up to four people

Rock Climbing Instruction for beginners

The Experience

This course is designed to provide you with competence and confidence on ropes basic rock climbing skills. It covers all skills beginning climbers shoul learn including proper gear and how it should be rigged, belaying and rappelling techniques, knots, prussic knots, and climbing techniques.
The second day goes into natural and artificial anchor building for top rope set up. This program also allows for a sufficient amount of climbing time to gain additional climbing experience.

Whitewater Weekend

The Experience

American Canoe Association Swiftwater Rescue Courses and Paddling Weekend
This course is designed to provide you with competence and confidence on whitewater. Topics include, but are not limited to, outfitting, water reading, paddling techniques, rescue of a capsized boat, portaging, identifying river hazards, rope throw, stabilization lines, and whitewater swimming. All paddling gear provided
In addition this course will provide an ample amount of opportunity to gain additional paddling experience in inflatable kayaks on two to three different rivers.This two days of adventure can be provided in inflatable kayak or whitewater kayak (based upon skill evaluation)..

2 days
Day 1- Whitewater instruction, paddle Upper Green Class II and III, paddle Lower Green Class II.
Day 2- paddle Section 9 of the French Broad Class III, rescue instruction and practice.
